Friday’s negative payroll report on the heels of last Monday’s weak February manufacturing survey is leading us to believe we are now entering a recession in the first quarter of this year. While the February manufacturing survey was largely flat with a soft January survey, the February employment report on Friday was a large downward shift in the job climate in the U.S. Nonfarm payrolls fell by 63,000 jobs last month and worse, payrolls for December and January were revised downward by 46,000 jobs. ...
